Terms of Use

Obriy is a browser for iPhone that helps you judge whether content was created by artificial intelligence: videos, photos, text. It also has a page assistant, read-aloud, an ad and tracker shield and other browser features.

The websites you open in Obriy belong to other people and companies. We do not control their content, rules or availability and are not responsible for them.

The app is provided under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA); these terms supplement it. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the service.

You can view existing verdicts without an account. New checks, the assistant and the OAi voice require signing in with Google or Apple.

Your account is personal: you are responsible for what happens in it and must not share access with others. You may use Obriy from the age of 13; credits may be bought by adults, or by minors with parental consent.

You can delete your account at any time — in the app (Account → Delete Account) or by writing to support@obriybrowser.com.

• What they are. Credits are prepayment for paid actions in Obriy. 1 credit = 1 US dollar. Credits are not money, electronic money or a security; they earn no interest and cannot be sold or transferred to another account.
• Buying. Credits are sold only on obriybrowser.com. Payment is by card through the WayForPay payment service; your bank may charge its own fee or convert the currency. There are no purchases in the app.
• Expiry. Credits never expire while your account exists.
• Refunds. Purchased credits are not refunded as money, except where the law requires it. In particular, if the law of your country gives you the right to withdraw from a purchase (for example, within 14 days in the EU), we will refund the unused part of that purchase — write to support@obriybrowser.com.
• Account deletion. Unused credits are forfeited and not compensated. If you are entitled to a refund, request it before deleting the account.
• Failures. If a paid action fails on our side, the credits are returned to your balance automatically. We may correct credits credited by mistake.

The price of a paid action is the provider’s cost of the analysis plus our commission, rounded up to the cent. The app shows the price before every paid action, and credits are charged only after you confirm.

A video check is paid upfront based on an estimate of the video’s length. After the analysis we return the difference to your balance, and if the analysis cost more than the estimate, you pay nothing extra.

We may change prices, but a change never applies to actions you have already confirmed. Results that already exist (verdicts, summaries, narrations) are free.

A verdict is a probability estimate made by automated models, not an established fact. It can be wrong either way: flag genuine content as AI or miss generated content.

A verdict is not legal evidence, an expert opinion or an accusation. Do not base decisions that affect people (about jobs, money, reputation, rights) on it without other verification.

“Unverified” only means that no check has been made yet, not that the content is genuine.

If you believe a verdict is wrong, write to support@obriybrowser.com with a link — we will review it.

Check results, assistant summaries and narrations are stored and given free of charge to anyone who opens the same content — without data on who ordered them. By submitting content for a check, you agree that the result becomes shared. The result of checking content that only you can access is visible only to you.

The assistant’s answers are generated by artificial intelligence from the page text. They may be inaccurate or incomplete — verify anything important against the original source. The OAi voice is generated by artificial intelligence; it is not a recording of a human voice.

You must not:

• break the law or violate the rights of others, including copyright and privacy;
• submit for checking content you have no right to view, or illegal content (including child sexual abuse material);
• use verdicts to harass, bully or discredit people;
• interfere with the service, bypass limits, send automated bulk requests, hack the system or probe it for vulnerabilities without our consent;
• resell access to the service or verdicts, or distribute altered verdicts in Obriy’s name.

If you break these rules, we may restrict or close your access.

The app, the website, and the Obriy name and logo belong to Vitalii Karaman. Website content belongs to its owners. The shield’s block lists are used under their licenses (EasyList — CC BY-SA 3.0); attribution is given in the app under “About”.

You may share verdicts and link to them, stating that they are Obriy’s estimate.

We aim to keep Obriy running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation: there may be outages, provider failures and changes on websites (for example, YouTube) that temporarily break some features. We may change, add or remove features. If we discontinue paid features entirely, we will refund unused credits.

Obriy is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or decisions made on the basis of verdicts or assistant answers. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the 12 months before the event.

These limits do not take away the rights that the law of your country guarantees to consumers and do not limit liability for intent or gross negligence.

You may stop using Obriy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if these terms are violated. If we close an account through no fault of yours, we will refund unused credits.

Governing law and jurisdiction: the law of Ukraine; disputes are heard by the courts of Ukraine. If you are a consumer living in the EU, these terms do not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you may bring proceedings in the courts where you live.

Before going to court, please write to us at support@obriybrowser.com — most issues can be resolved by email.

We may update these terms. We will announce significant changes at least 14 days in advance — in the app or by email. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account before the changes take effect.
